| About Paco Santiago - Brief History -- | |
I began studying the various instruments with almost 18 years, because as I said before "you had to study things of benefit" and not "lose with nonsense like the music." My first instrument was a harmonica Honner Change (which was what I could afford to buy) but I soon tired of this instrument, because my people in my village played traditional instruments such as the mandola (a soprano lute), the lute and guitar, and if I wanted to play with them I had no choice but to buy a mandolin what made me begin to explore the traditional music of Spanish rope.Later I bought a guitar, and started studying Spanish classical composers and American: Albeniz, Granados, Sor, Lauro, Villalobos, etc. Barrios. Later I became interested in composition, and I started writing simple songs for "prickly" and vulgar songs, extremely bad, but remember with affection, for being my first compositions. Several years later a group of friends decided to form a group of musicians to interpret and retrieve the music of the 60s. The group was called "Bang", and got to have some prestige and a great acceptance of music critics. (Our singer Jose Fernandez (Joe), had a phenomenal voice --- won the Benidorm Festival in 1970 along with Luis - which enabled him to interpret the rock and roll, Blues Ritmun as anyone at that time). The party was really good and we had many performances in Canal Sur TV, including state television filmed a special program about 30 minutes with our music and gaits, which aired nationally, both for the 1st channel, for the 2nd channel TVE.As a result of these programs, he was composing music was heard by several film and TV producers with which I started working on various soundtracks for the work they were producing. My first work of composition was the soundtrack for a documentary without words, which aired in cinemas and on TV, about water sources and the Alhambra in Granada and where there were only pictures and music and that he titled WATER ! produced by Agustin Nuñez Guarde (Edilux S.L. Productions.). Later I did the soundtracks for two short films produced by the Junta de Andalucia called "180 º o la Tacones sale a la calle" and "The planet and the Wolf" directed by Alfonso Gil Bracero. After this initial work did the soundtrack for a TV comedy called "TV Eye" and the soundtracks of the documentaries "The light and its prestige", "Granada de cerca " (Download full of the Generalife in Video ( 24 Mb)), and "Andalucia de cerca ", produced by EDILUX productions already mentioned above. Then I did some music for some commercials and the soundtrack of a new short half-hour video entitled "The beautiful swimmer" in an atmosphere of terror. The script of this short film by Salvador Perpiñá was awarded by the Junta de Andalucia. |
